FTI Intelligence Adapts Subscription-Based Service

London, 23 January, 2017 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that its FTI Intelligence offering is adapting its subscription-based service and will no longer charge for industry research to help clients remain current on fundamental changes in the clean energy sector.

Led by a core team with over 40 years of experience analysing, forecasting and reviewing the clean energy sector, FTI Intelligence, a data-driven market intelligence service, has been publishing industry research on the wind and wider clean energy sector collectively since 2013 under a paid subscription model.

FTI Intelligence will continue to publish market forecasts for installations, monitor the supply/demand balance across the value chain and publish analysis on new policy initiatives, business models, technologies, financing initiatives and all relevant change that impacts the interests of the clean energy sector. This includes a focus on storage, smart grids, smart meters, balancing/ancillary services, asset management services and optimisation, data analytics, as well as monitoring the position of clean energy technologies (including hydro, biomass, geothermal) versus traditional fossil technologies. The core offering will remain the Global Wind Market Update study, with frequent Spark – Energy Insights on all of the above subjects.

“With the clean energy sector entering into a new phase of growth and maturity, with lower costs driving the removal of subsidies, new strategies are emerging for the whole value chain. FTI Consulting remains at the forefront of driving change, analysing new markets and business models,” said Aris Karcanias, Senior Managing Director and Co-Lead of the Clean Energy practice at FTI Consulting. “Our practice and brand continue to go from strength to strength, and we have added to our intelligence and consulting teams and will continue to do so through 2017 and beyond.”

Additionally, FTI Intelligence will continue to offer and expand bespoke consulting services on key issues of specific interest to clients.
