Beth Saunders is a Managing Director within Ashton Partners, a firm acquired by FD on 10/1/2007 for its expertise in Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Beth specializes in crisis communications and companies facing strategic change, such as restructurings, M&A and spin-offs. She also serves as senior counsel [Beth Saunders] on many on the firm's financial reporting crises and new offering issueances. Renown for her expertise in the area of corporate governance, Beth has published numerous articles, lectured throughout the US on corporate strategy for dealing with shareholder activism and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Boards & Directors Magazine.
Prior to founding Ashton Partners, Beth was the President and Chief Operating Officer of the investor relations consulting arm of Thomson Financial Services. Before this, she created and managed the Shareholder Services division of the Financial Relations Board. Earlier in her career, Beth served as an analyst for Inland Steel Industries’ Pension Fund and a senior analyst for Monticello Investments, a Chicago area merchant banking firm. Beth holds a law degree from DePaul University, with a concentration in Securities Law, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. She is actively involved with Catholic Charities and The Cradle and is on the Board of Directors of the National Investor Relations Institute
