Edward Bridges is a senior managing director in the Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting and is based in London.
Mr. Bridges, who joined FTI Consulting in 1994, leads the Strategic Communications Special Situations team focusing on complex multi-national IPOs, M&A situations and is a member of the Restructuring & Recapitalisation communications practice. He has worked on many international transactions advising clients as diverse as the UK’s Vodafone, Austria’s OMV, Indian IT company, Infosys and infrastructure player GMR. More recently he advised INEOS, the UK’s largest private company, on its multi-billion pound debt restructuring and a number of subsequent bond issues. Autonomy Corporation plc, the iconic UK software story of the past 20 years, is Mr. Bridges’ longest term retained client. Having advised on its IPO in July 1998, the company is now a constituent of London’s FTSE100 and has recently received an offer from HP valuing the business at over $10bn. He also advises Cinven, the pan-European private equity house, where he advises its senior management on corporate positioning, M&A transactions and restructurings, and also works closely with all their portfolio companies in the context of communications issues they face.
