Geoffrey Pelham-Lane is Global President of the FTI Strategic Communications practice and is based in London.
Experience
As Global President and member of FTI’s Executive Committee, Mr. Pelham-Lane has leadership responsibility for the Strategic Communications segment’s businesses around the world, which include more than 650 staff located in 32 offices across 20 countries. In addition, he has responsibility for overseeing the development and growth of the segment’s global and diverse team of senior communications advisers that provides clients with a wide range of service offerings including Financial Communications, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.
From 2007 to 2010 Mr. Pelham-Lane was Chief Executive Officer of the practice’s UK business, one of the largest in the group, and before that he was Chief Operating Officer of the UK Financial Communications team and Head of the Financial Services team, which he successfully grew to become one of the biggest sector teams in the firm.
With a background that has spanned fund management, banking and strategic communications, Mr. Pelham-Lane’s experience includes advising some of the segment’s largest global insurance and banking clients including Aegon, Zurich Financial Services, Northern Rock, Friends Provident, Commerzbank, Credit Agricole, Fortis and Allied Irish Banks.
Mr. Pelham-Lane joined the firm in 2000, having been the Director of Investor Relations for NatWest Group. Before that he held a number of senior banking roles at NatWest as well as working for five years in fund management with Leopold Joseph. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
