Kevin Lavin is the global co-leader of the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee.
Experience
Mr. Lavin has more than 25 years of business consulting experience, including more than 20 years of experience advising the boards of directors, senior management and creditor constituencies of troubled companies in operational and financial restructurings for a broad range of industries, including large and middle market companies. Mr. Lavin has also served in interim management roles as CEO, COO, CFO and CRO.
In addition, Mr. Lavin has recently served in the role of chief executive officer of New World Networks, a sub-sea cable touching 13 countries in Latin America, and as the chief restructuring officer of Tricom, SA, a Dominican Republic-based telecommunications and cable company.
Most recently, Kevin Lavin was a senior managing director and the New York metro region leader in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Lavin was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and, prior to that, Mr. Lavin worked for a large privately held consulting firm, specializing in assisting both troubled companies and their creditors. Before that, he was an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche, where his clients were primarily large publicly held companies.
Mr. Lavin is a certified public accountant and a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor. He has served on the board of Global Sports, the New World Networks and the New York Turnaround Management Association and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the Turnaround Management Association.
