Seth Rierson is senior managing director and global practice leader of FTI Technology, the e-discovery software, services and consulting practice of FTI Consulting. As practice leader, Mr. Rierson is responsible for the strategic direction and continued global growth of FTI Technology. 

Experience

Mr. Rierson has more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing discovery and litigation support solutions for Fortune 500 corporations and AmLaw 200 firms.  He has played an instrumental role in the formation and growth of FTI Technology — one of the e-discovery industry’s leading software, services and consulting firms — including the acquisition and integration of Ringtail, Strategic Discovery and Attenex. Under his leadership, FTI Technology continues to grow and better serve clients through software innovation, consulting, service offerings and increased geographic reach.

Mr. Rierson has worked extensively helping corporations and law firms manage their responses to large-scale, multidistrict product liability litigation. He has led numerous matters for Fortune 500 clients such as Wyeth, Merck, Philip Morris, R.J. Reynolds and Staples.

Of particular note, Mr. Rierson has counseled several large pharmaceutical manufacturers facing significant product liability and related litigation, including assisting Wyeth and its outside counsel on its national diet drug litigation, among other matters. Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 1995, Mr. Rierson was a manager of the national litigation support initiative at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago and Washington, D.C., where he directed trial preparation efforts for several product liability and antitrust matters.
