Adrian Frankum is a Senior Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice and is based in New York. Mr. Frankum has more than 17 years of experience advising companies and creditors on strategic, operational and financial issues in numerous countries and jurisdictions. He is an experienced interim manager, having served in senior finance positions in companies as large as $1.2 billion and has extensive experience in investigative matters.

As a leader in many high-profile corporate restructurings, Mr. Frankum has experience in a variety of industries, including automotive; printing; telecommunications; cable; restaurants; chemicals; franchises and manufacturing, where he has primarily advised management and boards of directors on the development and implementation of turnaround plans.

Most recently, Mr. Frankum has worked in the printing industry, where he advised on capital restructuring, cost cutting actions, performance improvement activities and served as the interim chief financial officer of a $300 million direct mail division and the senior vice president of finance of a $1.2 billion printing company.

Mr. Frankum has more than five years of experience in the automotive industry and served as a leader in advising Delphi in its Chapter 11 proceedings. In this role, he advised management on the restructuring of the company, including pre-bankruptcy planning; business plan development and analysis; plan of reorganization formulation; due diligence support and; financial reporting, as well as on; claims related matters. He was also instrumental in liquidity management and lender negotiations.

Subsequent to this effort, Mr. Frankum advised the unsecured creditors of Visteon during the pendency of its Chapter 11 proceedings. Tasks included analyzing and challenging the company’s business plans, evaluating and proposing alternative restructuring scenarios and assisting the debtors in developing creative solutions for foreign cash repatriation.

In addition, Mr. Frankum played key roles in numerous cross border bankruptcy and restructuring cases, including serving as the lead financial advisor to UPC Polska, the largest cable company in Poland, in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy process; advising the bank syndicate of Global Crossing, a $3 billion telecommunications company, in maximizing recovery on its $2 billion credit; and serving as a member of the joint provisional liquidator’s team on RSL Communications.

Mr. Frankum is a frequent participant in lectures and given presentations on various topics. He was a speaker at the 2010 Valcon conference on a panel entitled “The Role of Hypothetical Liquidation Analysis: How Will Approaches in the Auto Cases Affect General Restructuring Practices” and at the 2012 TMA Annual Conference, where he discussed causes of corporate failure.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Frankum was an audit manager at KPMG, where he conducted audits and due diligence and assisted with a variety IPO and merger transactions.

Mr. Frankum holds an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Georgia. He is a certified public accountant in New York and is an executive board member of the Turnaround Management Association.
