Bob Munzberg is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in New York.
Mr. Munzberg has more than 30 years’ consulting experience within the manufacturing, banking and insurance sectors in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US. His roles include board member; chief executive; chief operating officer; knowledge manager and research engineer with various boutique consulting, manufacturing, technology research and defence research organisations.
Mr. Munzberg’s consulting experience focuses on the design, development and delivery of business transformation and operational improvement programs that establish new directions, achieve major performance changes and embeds a new process performance leadership and operating culture in the client organisation. These programs utilise a range of process-based models, methods, tools and interventions to achieve major and sustainable change in operational and business performance.
Mr. Munzberg has been responsible for the design, development and delivery of an extensive range of programs for government, industry and corporate clients in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US that have included establishing centres of excellence, conducting competency certification and accreditation activities. These programs have included world competitive manufacturing, advanced technology management, total quality management, strategic design, lean operations, process performance management, change management, organisational design and operations transformation.
Prior to his consulting roles, Mr. Munzberg headed the South Australian Centre for Manufacturing and its Industry Development, Investment Attraction and Consultant College programs for three years. In the preceding five-year period, he led a national manufacturing technology group responsible for studying Japanese, European and US manufacturing approaches, techniques and technology and adapting these for application by Australian firms. His early management and technical experience was gained in the defence research and automotive industries.
