Brendan Joyce is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Detroit. Mr. Joyce is a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment and is part of the automotive practice. Mr. Joyce has extensive expertise in providing financial advisory services and solutions to companies and creditors across numerous industries.

Mr. Joyce’s experience includes business plan assessments and development; developing financial models to support business decision making; participating in customer, vendor and labor negotiations and developing customer accommodation agreements; due diligence; analyzing product price versus cost and recommending alternatives; evaluating manufacturing footprints; examining material surcharge recovery and recovery mechanisms; liquidity and treasury management; cash forecasting; identifying cost reductions and profit enhancement activities; CRO activities and restructuring/bankruptcy related services.

Most recently, Mr. Joyce provided advisory services to Chassix, an automotive supplier that successfully restructured $600 million of debt and had successful negotiations with its customer base to achieve market-based pricing, long term business commitments and other accommodations.

A representative list of Mr. Joyce’s has financial advisory services clients includes Chassix, The Eco-Groupe, Northstar Aerospace, Inc., National Envelope Corporation, BHM Technologies, Key Plastics, Severstal, N.A., Delphi Corporation, General Motors, Visteon Corporation, Cobasys, Vertis Communications, Citation Corporation and Grede Holdings.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Joyce held a variety of positions within finance, accounting, program management, cost management and procurement. He was Manager of the Finance team at a plastics and injection molding company with $1.2 billion in revenue. In this capacity, Mr. Joyce was responsible for numerous customer units, including financial forecasting for the business unit, creating quote packages and maintaining financial metrics for the platforms, both at the corporate office and at the manufacturing sites.

Before that, Mr. Joyce was a corporate buyer at a manufacturing company with $17 billion in revenue, where he was responsible for the sourcing decisions within the purchased plastic components unit of the North American operations.

Project awards where Mr. Joyce’s engagements have been recognized include the Chapter 11 reorganization of the Year (over $500mm) for Chassix Holdings, Inc. from M&A Advisor in 2015 and the Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year for Small Mid Markets for Northstar Aerospace, Inc. from the Turnaround Atlas Awards in 2013.

Mr. Joyce holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an M.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from Wayne State University. He is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor and a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, Turnaround Management Association and the Detroit Economic Club.
