Chris Chan is a Director in the Technology practice of FTI Consulting and he is based in Shanghai.

Mr. Chan has half a decade of experience as a digital forensic investigator and electronic discovery and data analytic consultant. His experience includes supporting large-scale projects in litigation support, including computer forensics, electronic discovery, data analytics and litigation readiness consulting for clients in a range of industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, aviation, automotive, telecommunications, media and manufacturing.

Mr. Chan has experience working for an international bank in Hong Kong, helping to research, develop and deploy a data management tool for inter-department staff in a complex environment. He has worked for an international finance company located in Korea, forensically imaging a large number of computers, and developing an electronic discovery process together with Korean and American colleagues. Mr. Chan also supported an international law firm on an internal investigation being conducted on behalf of a world leader in the IT industry, involving the compromise of sensitive intellectual property.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Chan was a Digital Forensic Examiner of Digital Forensic and e-Discovery at TransPerfect Translations Ltd. His role was to conduct the computer forensics activities in Shanghai and to develop related technology to assist the forensics investigations. He previously worked as a Senior Consultant in the Legal Technology Analytics Consulting group for LECG in Shanghai.

Mr. Chan holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with proficient use of EnCase. Mr. Chan speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
