Christopher G. Molloy is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based New York. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Molloy was a Principal at Alliance Construction Consultants. Mr. Molloy has prepared and presented claims on behalf of general contractors and specialty contractors, and evaluated and refuted claims on behalf of owners, engineers and contractors.
Mr. Molloy has had in-depth involvement in efficiently researching and analyzing facts relating to disputes and presenting them in a clear and concise manner. His areas of expertise include critical path schedule analysis, time extension requests, labor productivity analysis, damages calculations and preparation of comprehensive reports. He has experience in mediation, arbitration and has provided various litigation support services. Mr. Molloy has also provided formal presentations for Mediation Settlement Conferences in addition to expert testimony for deposition and trial. His recent assignments have included projects associated with power generation, penal institutions, commercial facilities and transit systems.
Prior to becoming a Construction Claims Consultant, Mr. Molloy was a Project Architect for a Manhattan based architectural firm that specialized in the construction of public facilities.
Mr. Molloy was a Senior Associate for the construction claims consulting firm, Wilson Management Associates, New York. His experience there was the preparation and defense of construction claims related to commercial, industrial and public work projects.
He also worked for Steven P. Papadatos Associates, New York, as a Project Architect for a Manhattan architectural firm specializing in the design of commercial interiors and public facilities.
Mr. Molloy received a B.S. in architectural technology, magna cum laude, from New York Institute of Technology in 1989, and a M.S. in civil engineering from Columbia University in 1993. He also received his J.D. from Saint John’s University, School of Law in 2001, and is an attorney in New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Molloy has qualified as an expert witness in the Pennsylvania Eastern District Court for the following matter: Cornell & Company, Inc. and Buckley & Company, Inc. v. South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA).
Mr. Molloy has provided expert's reports and/or deposition testimony for the following matters: Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. v. Consolidation Coal Company; Academy Electrical Contractors, Inc. v. Nason and Cullen Group, Inc.; Nason & Cullen, Inc. v. Delaware Valley Designers and Manufacturers; Lumus Construction Inc. v. U W. Marx Construction Company; Cruz Enterprises LLC, v. City of Perth Amboy.
Mr. Molloy has provided lectures on the topic of construction claims for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Grassi & Co., Inc.
