Claudio Graeff is a Managing Director in the Construction Solutions practice in the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment of FTI Consulting where he works on advisory consulting for project development, project management and contract management.

Mr. Graeff has nearly 20 years of experience in senior management roles within the construction industry in energy, infrastructure, mining and petrochemicals. He possesses strong and extensive experience in preparing feasibility studies, planning management, cost estimate management (“CapEx”) and cost control management for megaprojects both in Brazil and elsewhere.

As part of his work at FTI Consulting, Mr. Graeff has, among other things, supported our clients in their work with the public sector in order to establish open channels of communication on the progress of their project pipelines in order to define their best practices in technology and management methodology, including contract obligations, project performance and risk evaluation.

Mr. Graeff recently participated as a speaker at several important events about infrastructure in Brazil and Colombia, including the Colombia Capital Project and Infrastructure Summit, Enersolar Brazil and both the Brazil and Colombia PMI Summits. He discussed the importance of legal security, project maturity and project management in these sectors in guaranteeing the success of investments.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Graeff worked at Vale, a large mining company, as its General Manager of Energy & Fertilizer Project Management Office, in additional he worked with logistics project development and project management in the areas of logistics and fertilizers.

Mr. Graeff also has international experience with Construtora Norberto Odebrecht Venezuela, where he developed technical and commercial proposals for the energy, infrastructure and petrochemical industries, which all involved a great deal of interaction with the public sector.

Mr. Graeff is considered an expert in important project areas with significant experience in environmental issues, industrial relations, health and safety issues, human resources and in community and client relations. Mr. Graeff is a native Portuguese speaker and is also fluent in English and Spanish.
