Jelena Vukotic is the lead analyst for Europe in the Geopolitical Intelligence team. She is a Director located in New York in the Global Risk & Investigations Practice, in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment.
Ms. Vukotic provides political risk analyses on key European countries to clients, both at the macro and micro level for retainer clients and as bespoke project work for consulting clients. Her analysis of the political, economic and policy environment in Europe and how it will develop over the medium and long term is a key element of our corporate political risk advisory service. Alongside other experienced political risk analysts in FTI Consulting’s New York office and in regional offices across Europe, she is part of a global team that connects political events to commercial outcomes and identifies the specific implications of political events for corporate and investment environments.
Ms. Vukotic has an extensive experience as an economist and political risk analyst, both on the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, she was with the Investment Risk team at AIG, where she focused on the global macro trends, demographics, sovereign risk and consumer spending. She also spent six years as a senior economist for emerging Europe at the economic consultancy Roubini Global Economics.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Vukotic has developed a expertise across the EMEA economies. At Roubini, she led the emerging Europe team, forecasting economic indicators and producing house views on the investment risks and opportunities in the region. Her research has been referenced by Bloomberg, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Forbes and numerous regional media outlets. At AIG, she spearheaded several research projects aimed at helping the Investment team position the insurer for the long run, including long-term growth prospects in the Eurozone and the impact of technology on different industries.
Ms. Vukotic received an MSc degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Belgrade University.
