Kathleen Versland is a Managing Director in our Governance, Risk & Regulation team and is based in London.  Kathleen has a broad spectrum of leadership experience within financial services including: strategy, target operating model design, programme management, regulatory compliance and remediation, process improvement, sales management and business/product development.

Kathleen has over 20 years financial services experience, joining FTI in 2016 from Deutsche Bank where she was the Head of Organisation and Operating Strategy for the Risk Division. Here she was responsible for designing and implementing the bank's global risk management target operating model.

Kathleen began her career at Merrill Lynch in New York holding key leadership positions in business and product development, sales management and operational excellence. She then joined Deutsche Bank in 2004 where she was responsible for designing and delivering transformational change across multiple divisions focused mainly on front office operational excellence, regulatory compliance/remediation and risk management. Kathleen is a named inventor for Merrill Lynch’s “HedgeAccess” system (systems and methods for offering and servicing hedge funds).

As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, she is an industry expert in process improvement having implemented many end-to end cross-business line projects as well as having developed and delivered Six Sigma training and coaching programmes globally.

Kathleen is an active advocate for disadvantaged women and children as co-founder and President for a local London club of global NGO Zonta International, focused on advancing the status of disadvantaged women and children through service projects, advocacy and fundraising.
