Kevin Rea is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Los Angeles. Mr. Rea is a member of the Valuation and Financial Advisory Services group, specializing in business valuation. He has extensive experience across a broad range of financial advisory roles, including fairness opinions, solvency opinions, tangible/intangible asset valuations, litigation support, business plan development and strategic planning.
Mr. Rea has completed over 600 engagements in entertainment and media on behalf of management teams, as well as investors and lenders. Mr. Rea’s work has encompassed film production and distribution, film and television libraries, music publishing and master rights catalogues, television production, television broadcasting, cable networks, post-production and digital media. His assignments have been used for transaction support, financial planning, litigation support, collateral purposes, compensation purposes, accounting and/or tax planning purposes.
Mr. Rea joined FTI Consulting with its acquisition of Salter Group, a leading independent financial and strategic advisory firm. While at Salter Group, Mr. Rea managed engagements that focused on providing business and intangible asset valuations, financial opinions, financial and strategic analysis, forecasting and transaction support covering a broad spectrum of industries.
Prior to that, Mr. Rea was a Senior Accountant at Deloitte in the Manufacturing group, where he provided audit and assurance services for various manufacturing companies, including large publicly traded entities. His responsibilities included planning and executing audit engagements, as well as drafting and reviewing audit work papers and financial statements.
Mr. Rea holds a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting and an M.S. in accounting from Trinity University. He is a certified public accountant (inactive).
