Larry Manning is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Dallas. He is a member of the Turnaround & Restructuring Services practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. He is currently in the process of relocating to Houston.

Mr. Manning has more than 17 years of finance advisory and corporate recovery experience in a variety of industries. Mr. Manning’s experience includes interim management, business plan development and review, treasury services, valuation (assets and hedging portfolios), performance improvement, buy- and sell-side due diligence, carve-outs, asset sales and lender services.

Much of Mr. Manning experience includes representing companies, senior lenders and bondholders on energy related matters in the U.S., North Sea and Latin America. His involvement has included financial and technical assessments, business plan review, asset and reserve valuation, restructuring negotiations, recovery analyses and asset sales.

In one representative E&P engagement, Mr. Manning provided company advisory services to TXCO Resources (publicly traded). Mr. Manning advised management in negotiations, led the day-to-day pre- and post-petition operational elements of the engagement, developed and managed two transition services agreements and led the wind-down of the business. Mr. Manning was named to the Board of Directors of the reorganized entity.

Recently, Mr. Manning served as the Global Treasurer of AgroFresh Solutions, Inc., a carve-out from Dow Chemical that went public through a SPAC (NASDAQ:AGFS). Primary responsibilities included acting as the primary liaison with lenders, ensuring covenant compliance and reporting duties (including amendments), leading stock and warrant repurchase programs, assisting with SEC reporting, developing and managing a multi-year cash flow forecast and developing and managing the company’s cash management platform and daily global cash position (21 countries).

Another notable engagement of Mr. Manning’s was Hostess Brands where he served in an interim management capacity for an extended period of time. Mr. Manning was integrally involved in obtaining pre- and post-petition financing, providing oversight of the treasury and purchasing groups, general bankruptcy services and wind-down related matters.

A representative list of additional engagements Mr. Manning was involved in include Breitburn Energy, Dune Energy, Lineage Power, Endeavour International, Energy XXI, North Sea E&P Company, Columbian E&P Company, Milagro Oil & Gas, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Gulf Coast Energy, Seegrid Corporation, Stanford Financial, Reichmann Petroleum Corporation, Entergy New Orleans, Washington Mutual and other confidential matters.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Manning was with Greenwich Associates for seven years, where he specialized in advising large corporate and investment banks on various performance improvement initiatives, strategy formulation, pre-merger due diligence and post-merger integration.

Mr. Manning holds an M.B.A. in Energy Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business. He is currently the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Director's for the TMA Dallas Chapter. Mr. Manning is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a Certified Treasury Professional.
