Mary Ann Halford is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in London. Ms. Halford is part of the Telecom, Media and Technology (“TMT”) practice and leads TMT’s Media & Entertainment practice for the Europe, Middle East & Africa region. She has more than 20 years of experience working with broadcasters in areas of strategy, management, operations, digital and finance, with a demonstrated track record for performance improvement.

Ms. Halford is responsible for building and developing broadcasting and entertainment client relationships, with a focus on performance improvement, programming and content strategies and digital transformation. She has managed performance improvement as well as merger integration projects for television broadcasting clients domestically and internationally, including Lin Media, Media General, Pearl TV, Cox Television, Raycom, Gray Television, Young Broadcasting, Fox International Channels, TVB (Hong Kong), RTL (Luxembourg), Central European Media Enterprises (Eastern Europe) and MediaWorks (New Zealand). Ms. Halford has also provided expert witness statements related to litigation in the broadcasting industry.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Halford was the Founder and CEO of NY-based BizWorks360, a digital strategy consulting firm. Her clients included eMusic,, WNYC-Radio, Atlas Media Corp, Carolines on Broadway, Van Eck Global, Simon and Schuster, ANC Sports and Collective Media.

Before founding a digital consultancy, Ms. Halford was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital for ITN Networks, where she built a local digital advertising network comprised of websites for local television stations, radio broadcasters and newspapers. Before that, Ms. Halford operated Global Media Strategies, a NY-based media consultancy. Her clients included MTV Networks, Scholastic Corporation, HIT Entertainment, Palladium Equity, Gaiam, Elevation Partners, Angelo Gordon, LEK Consulting and National Public Media. She also collaborated on media valuation projects with The Salter Group, a leading media and entertainment financial consultancy, which was acquired by FTI Consulting in 2012.

Ms. Halford was the Co-Founder and COO of El Camino Entertainment Corporation, a platform for consolidating the country’s leading midway entertainment companies, which became North American Midway Entertainment upon capitalization by Cypress Private Equity.

Ms. Halford established the Fox International Channels group for the Fox Entertainment Group after successfully restructuring the operations of the Fox Latin American Channels. While at Fox, she also ran a terrestrial broadcaster in Holland, which she successfully sold to SBS Corporation. Ms. Halford has held other corporate development positions in the media and entertainment industry. She started her career in banking, working at both Bankers Trust Company in their Media and Entertainment Group and Chase Manhattan Bank in their Restructuring group.

Ms. Halford holds a B.A. in Government and Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Harvard University.

Ms. Halford served on the Board of Directors of Triton Digital, which is the leading digital service provider to traditional and online radio. She is also part of the founding team of Saavn, which provides the leading listening experience for Bollywood music on the web and via mobile.
