Mateo Millett is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting and is based in Boston. He serves as head of the Industrials sector in the Americas for the strategic communications segment and is also a senior member of the capital markets communications team.
Mr. Millett provides communications counsel to clients around critical issues impacting their enterprise value and reputation, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and restructuring activities, financial reporting irregularities, management transitions, strategic transformation and change, and ongoing strategic communications program planning and implementation.
Mr. Millett has worked with a range of companies in the industrials sector. His experience in the chemicals, materials, and agricultural sector includes Olin Corporation, Chemours, Praxair, PetroLogistics, Cytec, The Dow Chemical Company, Coveris, Bemis, Monsanto, and FMC Corporation. In the broader industrials sector, he has served a diversity of companies, including MSC Industrial Direct, EMCOR Group, Superior Industries, among others.
Mr. Millett joined FTI Consulting in October 2007 after spending six years as an equity analyst with an independent research company in Boston where he was responsible for evaluating companies to determine their investment potential for a wide range of institutional investors.
Mr. Millett previously held positions at Charles River Associates, where he was a member of the finance practice and specialized in valuing large scale project finance projects, and Harvard Business School, where he developed and co-authored case studies, teaching notes, and academic papers on a wide range of topics related to valuation methodologies and issues of corporate control.
Mr. Millett graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the Tufts University, earning Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Economics.
