Nicole Lewis is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Chicago. She is a member of the Performance Improvement (“PI”) practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.
Ms. Lewis has more than 20 years of cross-industry experience in business transformations, technology implementations, organizational restructuring/design, performance management, leadership development and coaching, employee engagement and change management strategies.
Ms. Lewis specializes in advising clients on driving and managing large-scale change transformations from conception through deployment. She has considerable experience helping C-suite leaders solve complex situations and manage organizational cultures through strategy articulation and targeted stakeholder engagement.
Select examples of Ms. Lewis’ experience include, leading the deployment of the change management program for a systems, applications and products (“SAP”) source-to-pay initiative for one of the largest personal lines insurer companies in the United States; leading change management activities for a global automotive manufacturer, including stakeholder management, organization design, role alignment and training for a global SAP implementation and large-scale business transformation for finance and procurement processes; leading change management activities for a communications and high-tech organization, including stakeholder management, organization design and role alignment for a SAP implementation and large-scale business transformation for HR processes; and leading the development of a governance model and developing and executing a change management strategy for a financial services company, which included stakeholder interviews, assessment activities to determine risks and gaps, and communication activities and events.
In addition, Ms. Lewis designed and executed a communications strategy for a global health care products and services provider aligned with the provider’s business strategy to achieve a sustainable communication infrastructure for the new organization, helping the company develop a change network approach to identify sponsors and change agents to disseminate targeted messages; facilitated a workshop with senior leadership from a chemicals specialty products manufacturer to help define and translate the company’s overall business strategy to operational terms; advised leadership from a sales and marketing organization on identifying their operating model and transformation activities, including rearticulating the company’s strategic direction, defining key future capabilities and core business processes, determining the organization and governance model and defining the change management strategy and initiatives required for the future vision; and designed transition plans and toolkits to support changes in individual and functional roles and responsibilities for a U.S. waterworks distributor, supporting leadership in carrying out a notification process of changes in roles and responsibilities to individuals and helping design a communication plan to communicate the rollout of the company's reorganization.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Lewis was a Director of Organizational Change and Communications at Allstate, a Senior Manager of the People and Organization Change practice at Ernst & Young, and a Senior Manager of the Talent and Organizational Change practice at Accenture. She started her consulting career with Arthur Andersen in its Change Enablement practice.
Ms. Lewis holds a B.A. in Journalism from Wayne State University and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications (“IMC”) from Northwestern University.
