About Patrick
Patrick Curtin specializes in due diligence and has more than 20 years of financial and management experience gained through financial advisory and public accounting. He has extensive experience in assisting strategic and financial buyers with acquisition-related due diligence and has industry expertise in manufacturing, restaurants, airlines, utilities and healthcare, among other areas.
Mr. Curtin has helped lenders, investment banks and other financing sources with due diligence as part of the origination and monitoring of asset-based lending financings and securitizations. In addition, Mr. Curtin has experience in coordinating and managing multi-location due diligence and financial statement analysis for asset-backed and unsecured financing on behalf of clients, such as Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Wachovia Securities, JPMorgan Chase and Royal Bank of Canada. These due diligence transactions include borrowing base calculations, securitizations, asset backed and unsecured financings, evaluating historical performance and operational assessments.
Mr. Curtin also has experience in evaluating, developing and implementing improvement strategies for companies experiencing financial distress. He has served as an advisor to both distressed companies and their creditors and assisted and advised creditors in evaluating financial forecasts and the cash needs of distressed companies in order to address poor performance and maximize shareholder value.
Mr. Curtin has played an integral role in assisting companies with the development of specifically tailored cash flow monitoring systems, operational analysis, development of comprehensive business and strategic plans, assessment and development of asset sale and liquidation plans, identification of cost reduction opportunities, creation of restructuring strategy, bankruptcy and contingency planning and short-term liquidity forecasting. Mr. Curtin’s clients have included the 1,114 official retirees committee of United Airlines, secured lenders of Mississippi Chemical, EaglePicher, Huntsman, NRG Energy and Dade Behring.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Curtin spent six years at Price Waterhouse in Chicago in both the Audit and Financial Consulting practices.
