At Level 3, Mr. Jagtap led the effort for new enterprise VoIP services. Prior to Level 3, Mr. Jagtap was part of the startup team at SignalSoft, a wireless software company. Mr. Jagtap was vice president of Corporate Development responsible for the company’s strategic plan, partnership program and expansion of the company into Europe and Asia. Mr. Jagtap also managed a $15 million investment fund that made investments in companies specializing in synergistic technology. During the summer of 2000, he engineered the sale of the company to OpenWave.
As part of the investment banking team at Salomon Smith Barney, a position he held before joining SignalSoft Corporation, Mr. Jagtap executed a number of financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the technology sector. Prior to joining Salomon Smith Barney, Mr. Jagtap was a senior software analyst in the Bombay, India office of UNISYS Ltd. and held a position as process planning engineer at Siemens Ltd., also in Bombay.
Mr. Jagtap holds a M.B.A. in finance from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was the recipient of the Weatherhead Merit Scholarship. He earned a B.E. in mechanical engineering from Bombay University in India. |
