Mr. Biggs’ area of expertise includes hospital operational and profitability improvement; managed care feasibility and pricing; health system integration; managed care contracting strategies; medical staff development; physician acquisitions and divestitures; health enterprise strategy; physician alignment strategies; capital budgeting and planning; IT implementation and design; foreign and domestic health policy; and strategic market and feasibility assessments.
Specifically, Mr. Biggs has extensive experience in implementing margin improvements for hospitals. He has spent much of his career putting solutions into practice in the areas of operations and performance improvement, revenue cycle, supply chain, clinical documentation and productivity. Mr. Biggs has also served as a business advisor and provided strategic planning advice to a wide array of integrated delivery systems, physician management companies and national health insurers.
Mr. Biggs’ advisory services experience includes four years as a managing director in Navigant Consulting’s Healthcare Provider practice, where he was a market leader for the East Region and one year as a founding partner in Subsidium Health Advisors, a strategic advisory firm. He also served more than seven years as an industry director in Arthur Andersen’s Healthcare Consulting division in the Strategy and Performance Management practices. Prior to that, he worked for more than two years as a senior consultant in Andersen Consulting’s System Integration practice.
