Over the past eight years, Mr. Childers has worked with more than 30 different telecommunications companies in various capacities. Mr. Childers’ transaction-related experience includes various aspects of buy-side and sell-side services for clients, including target identification, information preparation, formulation of transaction structure, financial and operational due diligence, business valuation, identification of financial synergies, and negotiation of letters of intent and/or purchase agreements. He has also served as advisor to secured lenders and companies during in-court and out-of-court restructurings and in merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Childers’ telecom experience includes assisting in the development of multiple business plans, including product, segment, and geographic analysis, implementing strategic initiatives, and developing monthly reporting packages for ongoing analysis by management. Recently, Mr. Childers has been working as an interim manager at an Aspen-based private equity firm.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Childers was a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Advisory Services practice. During his employment, he served as a financial advisor, specializing in the telecommunications industry with engagements ranging from litigation support to strategic business development and restructuring.
Mr. Childers holds both an M.S. in finance and a B.A. in accounting from the University of Denver. He is a charted financial analyst and a certified public accountant in Colorado. He is also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. Mr. Childers has completed all three sections of the certified insolvency and restructuring advisor exam. |
