Assisted plaintiff in a patent litigation in calculating lost profits, reasonable royalties and price erosion. The plaintiff produces aviation products.
Engaged by major provider of air to ground service in defense of trade secret claim. Analysis included business profitability analysis, comparison of financial sections of FCC license application and overall of financial analysis of plaintiff's business plan.
Engaged by counsel to determine losses incurred by manufacturer of on-board weigh systems due to patent infringement by a competitor. Analysis included lost profits, price erosion and reasonable royalty.
For diversified manufacturer of aerospace/avionics products and services, developed estimate of economic damages arising from infringement of Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) patented technology. Analysis focused on definition of relevant markets, customer acceptance and profits margins and the entitlement to various forms of damages in each market. Developed estimate of lost profits, reasonable royalty and past/future price erosion forms of damages. Developed hypothetical negotiations to determine reasonable royalty rate.
For diversified manufacturer of aerospace/avionics products and services, developed estimate of economic damages arising from infringement of Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) patented technology. Analysis focused on definition of relevant markets, customer acceptance and profits margins and the entitlement to various forms of damages in each market. Developed estimate of lost profits, reasonable royalty and price erosion damages.
For manufacturer of avionic display products, developed estimate of economic damages arising from infringement of LCD IC Saturating Column Driver patented technology. Analysis focused on definition of relevant markets, manufacturing efficiencies and customer acceptance.
Retained by an aircraft parts manufacturer to value the technology embedded in engineering drawings to assist the acquirer in its negotiations with the IRS.
