FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring Segment Announces 2017 Senior Managing Director Promotions
Washington, D.C., Jan. 3, 2017 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that 14 professionals have been promoted to Senior Managing Director within the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.
The promotions include Jason Abbott, Clark Ansel, Gregory Attiyeh, Alan Boyko, Michael Cordasco, Armen Emrikian, Andrew Johnson, Larry Manning, Tim McDonagh, Tamara McGrath, Tanya Meerovich, Melker Sandberg, Brad Sharp and Ruth Steedman.
Mr. Abbott, based in Chicago, specializes in transformation services demonstrated through his expertise in financial due diligence, merger integration, interim management, forecasting and transition planning. He has consulted for various private equity funds, specialty lenders and strategic investors. He has assisted companies across diverse industries, including clean technology, energy and utilities, technology and telecommunications, printing and direct marketing, automotive suppliers and healthcare, as well as companies in the plastics, construction and consumer packaged goods sectors.
Mr. Ansel, based in Dallas, has extensive experience providing a wide range of financial consulting and advisory services to both creditors and debtors. His experience includes interim management, business plan development, treasury and cash management, valuation services, borrower and lender negotiations, financial statement analysis, operational and financial modeling, asset sales, performance improvement and post-transaction services. Mr. Ansel has in-depth knowledge of the energy industry, including oil and gas exploration and production, midstream and oilfield services.
Dr. Attiyeh, based in San Francisco, has worked extensively in the telecommunications industry providing auction advisory, valuation, due diligence, and market analysis in the context of strategy and business improvement, litigation and transactions. His expertise also includes business plan development, econometrics and game theory.
Mr. Boyko, based in Denver, provides restructuring advisory services to companies and creditor constituencies. He is an expert in short- and long-term forecasting, Chapter 11 restructurings and development and assessment of business plans. His industry experience includes mining and metals, automotive, real estate, financial services and manufacturing.
Mr. Cordasco, based in New York, provides restructuring advisory services to companies, lenders and other creditors in both formal Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workout situations. His clients have included public and private companies in a number of industries, including energy, financial services, automotive, and consumer products.
Mr. Emrikian, based in Chicago, provides restructuring advisory services to companies and their creditors. His expertise includes business plan assessment, financial forecasting, valuation, lender negotiations, liquidity management, and vendor management. He also has taken on interim chief financial officer roles on multiple engagements. Mr. Emrikian has advised clients in a diverse range of industries, including retail, automotive, industrial distribution, telecommunications, food/grocery, energy and general manufacturing.
Mr. Johnson, based in London, advises lenders, corporates and other stakeholders across a range of industries, including oil and gas, renewables, retail, consumer products, food processing, manufacturing and construction. Mr. Johnson focuses on financial advisory, contingency planning and insolvent restructurings.
Mr. Manning, based in Houston, focuses on financial advisory and corporate recovery in a variety of industries. Mr. Manning’s experience includes interim management, business plan development and review, treasury service transformations, liquidity assessments and forecasting, valuation (enterprise, asset and hedging portfolios), buy- and sell-side due diligence, borrowing base reviews, covenant negotiations, asset sales, stand-up of carve-outs and post-transaction services.
Mr. McDonagh is based in New York, and his experience includes corporate bankruptcies, out-of-court operational and financial restructurings, and debt negotiations with an emphasis on the retail industry and managing processes to sell businesses or underperforming assets and securing financing. In addition to leading and working on many significant retail engagements, Mr. McDonagh has worked on several high-profile company-side engagements in the automotive, media, manufacturing and financial services industries.
Ms. McGrath, based in Los Angeles, provides advisory services in restructuring settings to creditor committees, companies, lenders and equity holders. Matters she has advised on have involved strategies for improving liquidity, debt restructuring, operational improvement strategy, forensic accounting, valuation analysis, due diligence, bankruptcy preparation and administration, and litigation advisory. Her industry experience includes retail, for-profit education, energy, bio fuel, financial services, technology, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing and real estate.
Ms. Meerovich, based in New York, provides financial and strategic solutions to companies, their creditors and investors. Her advisory services include financial and operational restructuring, development and implementation of strategic alternatives, loan workouts and business planning. Ms. Meerovich has worked with both public and private companies across many industries, including financial services, real estate, nonprofit, insurance, healthcare, education, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, print, entertainment and retail.
Mr. Sandberg, based in Denver, focuses on the telecom service provider, telecom and network equipment and managed services sectors. He is an expert in business acquisition and divestiture, restructuring, telecom products and go-to-market, sales effectiveness, business operations, network cost management, financial operations and financial planning and analysis. Mr. Sandberg has led many business restructuring, M&A due diligence, merger integration, business improvement, business turnaround and process improvement engagements.
Mr. Sharp, based in Los Angeles, is a leader in FTI Consulting’s Valuation & Financial Advisory Services practice. Mr. Sharp has extensive financial advisory experience, including tangible/intangible asset valuations, fairness opinions, solvency opinions, litigation support, bankruptcy, business plan development and strategic planning. On more than 850 engagements in entertainment and media, he has advised on behalf of management teams, as well as investors and lenders of a diverse range of companies and asset types.
Ms. Steedman, based in London, leads FTI Consulting’s UK transfer pricing team. She has 20 years of transfer pricing experience, with expertise in setting global strategy and implementing pragmatic transfer pricing solutions for multinationals. Ms. Steedman has a wealth of experience in defending transfer pricing policies, with a focus on risk management and fit-for-purpose documentation. She has successfully defended transfer pricing policies in a number of jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, France, Germany, Poland and Russia.
