FTI Consulting Contributes $500,000 to Charities During Holiday Season

Washington, D.C., Jan. 21, 2021 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that the firm donated $500,000 to charitable organizations during the 2020 holiday season.

In lieu of hosting holiday gatherings in 2020, FTI Consulting donated funds to three global hunger charities — Action Against Hunger, The Global FoodBanking Network and The Hunger Project — in addition to eligible charities selected by individual employees.

“The past year has been extraordinarily challenging for people across the globe, as well as the charitable organizations that support those in need,” said Steven H. Gunby, President and Chief Executive Officer of FTI Consulting. “I was gratified by the enthusiasm with which our people have committed to seek to make a difference during these difficult times.”

Action Against Hunger is the world’s hunger specialist. For more than 40 years, the organization has been on the front lines of the fight against hunger. They save children’s lives, help families prevent hunger, and empower communities with access to clean water and programs that promote livelihoods. Across 46 countries, Action Against Hunger’s 8,500 staff work in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Their life-changing programs reached 17 million people in 2019.

The Global FoodBanking Network (“GFN”) is an international non-profit organization that nourishes the world’s hungry through uniting and advancing food banks in more than 40 countries. GFN focuses on combating hunger and preventing food waste by providing expertise, directing resources, sharing knowledge and developing connections that increase efficiency, ensure food safety and reach more people facing hunger. In 2019, GFN member food banks rescued over 900 million kilograms of food and grocery product and redirected it to feed 16.9 million people through a network of more than 56,000 social service and community-based organizations. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, food banks in the network have served more than 27 million people facing hunger adversely affected by the pandemic.

The Hunger Project works to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, women-centered, people-led strategies. Founded in 1977, The Hunger Project is a global non-profit organization that advocates for the widespread adoption of its community-led development model at national and local levels. The Hunger Project is active in 23 countries and its programs partner with 16.5 million empowered individuals who are leading the way to a healthy and hunger-free world.
