FTI Consulting Strengthens its Public Affairs Practice with the Appointment of Sean Darragh in Washington, D.C.
Darragh Brings 30+ Years of Public Affairs and Public Policy Experience
Washington, D.C., June 29, 2016 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced the appointment of Sean Darragh, a senior public affairs and government relations strategist, as a Managing Director in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Darragh will draw upon his more than 30 years of experience in government and communications to advance clients’ public policy and regulatory priorities.
As a Managing Director within the Public Affairs practice, Mr. Darragh will work with other senior advisors in the United States and globally to develop strategies for clients operating at the intersection between business and government. He will report to Jackson Dunn, Head of the Americas Public Affairs practice.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Darragh served as the Executive Vice President for Global Strategies at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (“GMA”), where he oversaw public affairs, legislative, regulatory and communications strategies. In that role, Mr. Darragh also served as a cleared advisor to the Secretary of Agriculture and the U.S. Trade Representative (“USTR”) as a member of the Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee (“APAC”), which advises on the administration of U.S. trade policy.
Before joining GMA, Mr. Darragh served as Executive Vice President for International Affairs and Food and Agriculture at the Biotechnology Industry Organization (“BIO”), where he directed diplomatic, legislative, regulatory and communications strategy, and represented the industry at the state, federal, and international levels. Prior to his service at BIO, Mr. Darragh served as Deputy Vice President for International Affairs at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (“PhRMA”).
During his tenure in U.S. government, Mr. Darragh served in numerous senior policy-making positions including: Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Principal Food and Agricultural Negotiator at the Office of the USTR and on the White House National Security Council staff as Director for Global Issues and Multilateral Affairs.
Mr. Darragh is a graduate of The United States Military Academy and received his graduate degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
