FTI Consulting Receives Best Community Engagement Award at the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2019
London, 6 March 2019 – FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced it received the Best Community Engagement Award for its Experts in Schools programme at the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards in London on 5th March 2019.
The Experts in Schools volunteer programme is organised in partnership with the charity Young Citizens and provides schools with unique educational programmes delivered by professionals in the firm with specific expertise. It educates students between 14-17 on important issues such as Brexit, the economy and how to navigate social media and understand fake news. The initiative has reached over 27,000 young people since it launched seven years ago.
The judges said they were impressed by the strong support from FTI Consulting’s management team and employees and the way the firm engages clients to support the programme, as well as using it to support recruitment objectives.
Kirsty Christie, Corporate Citizenship Manager at FTI Consulting, said “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised at the MPF Awards for our flagship volunteer programme Experts in Schools. We are extremely lucky to have dedicated professionals across the firm who can facilitate lively debate to young people on hard-to-teach topics like Brexit and fake news, and are proud to work with such a dynamic charity partner in Young Citizens. This award has given the programme such a boost and everyone involved, from the designers to the content creators, should be very proud.”
Now in their 17th year, the Management Excellence Awards, in partnership with Harvard Business Review and the Financial Times, uniquely provide leadership teams with independent evidence of their contribution to leadership and strategy; operational excellence; the client journey; and responsible business.
