Aamena Nagdee is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in Johannesburg. Ms. Nagdee is a member of the Restructuring practice and specializes in mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Nagdee is a qualified Chartered Accountant (“CA”) and has over 15 years of experience in providing buy-side and sell-side due diligence assignments across all industry sectors working for both strategic and financial buyers to local and international clients. Her industry experience includes logistics, industrial, retail, telecommunications, insurance, mining, private equity and capital markets. She has served clients in several countries across the rest of Africa, including Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, DRC, Zambia and Mauritius.
Ms. Nagdee joined FTI Consulting from KPMG, where she was part of the Industrial and Automotive Audit department. During this time, she audited clients across the manufacturing, retail, construction and automotive sectors. After the completion of her articles, Ms. Nagdee joined the Deal Advisory department in Johannesburg. She has also assisted clients with other transaction services assignments that include profitability studies, working capital reviews and stock exchange compliance work.
Ms. Nagdee undertook buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, for various private equity firms like Ethos, RMB Ventures, Actis, Southern Palace, Old Mutual Private Equity, Shanduka, Emerging Capital Partners and Rockwood. She holds a B.Com. in Accounting from Wits University, a B.Com Honors degree from the University of Southern Africa, and an M.B.A. Essentials from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
