Abhinav Trehan is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. He specializes in private equity transactions, including large scale leveraged buyouts, portfolio bolt-on acquisitions, leveraged capitalizations and divestitures. He has more than 10 years of experience working with businesses both in Europe and the Americas.
Mr. Trehan has advised top-tier private equity clients and been involved in transactions across multiple sectors including telecom, media and live entertainment; and software, including software as a service platforms and other business services related software companies. He also has advised on transactions involving industrial, including packaging and chemical companies; and education, including primary, secondary and tertiary education providers and education service companies.
Mr. Trehan’s selected experience includes advising Providence Equity on the sale of a minority share in Galileo Global Education, its acquisition of Chime Communications, its sale of Clarion Events and its acquisition of Closerstill Media. He also advised The Carlyle Group on its proposed acquisition of Archroma, its acquisition of PA Consulting and its acquisition of Chesapeake Packaging. Other private equity projects include advising Interxion on its proposed merger with Telecity, advising a private equity consortium on its proposed acquisition of Securitas Direct, advising Montagu Private Equity on its divestiture of BSN Medical, advising Bridgepoint Capital on its sale of Permaswage, advising Five Arrows Principal Investments on its acquisition of Sucsez Group and advising Datix on its acquisition of RL Solutions.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Trehan worked within KPMG’s Private Equity Transaction Services group in London.
Mr. Trehan holds an M.S. in management from the University of Edinburgh and is Association of Chartered Accountants qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
