Alan Knowlton is a specialist in business transformation, operational improvement, due diligence and restructuring. Alan advises corporates and private equity firms on improving the profitability of their companies, as well as leading the delivery of major change.
Alan has carried out rapid diagnostics on operational performance, due diligence and post-deal transformations, working with sponsors and executive management teams. Typically, this involves dramatically reducing operating costs through changes to management processes, footprint, organisation, supplier bases and physical processes.
During Alan’s industry career Alan has led multiple manufacturing, procurement, logistics and warehousing sites, managed operational teams in excess of 1000 staff and supply chains across wide geographies.
Alan is an expert in eCom logistics fulfilment and performance improvement, both in-house and with 3PL’s. He has deep experience in warehouse automation design and implementation, as well as warehouse footprint rationalisation, transitions and construction.
Alan has also directly managed teams covering S&OP, demand & supply planning, inventory management, engineering, and major capex investment. He has also developed and negotiated contracts with strategic partners with values in excess of €500m/year. Alan has worked extensively across mainland Europe, Asia and the Americas.
