Christian Jensrud has more than 28 years of Medicaid and Medicare healthcare, managed care, consulting, executive leadership, growth, and business development experience. Mr. Jensrud has extensive experience managing medical economics, pharmacy analytics, reporting, strategy, budget oversight, contract management, resource allocation, and strategic management.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Jensrud served as the Chief Growth Officer for Fluent Health at Presbyterian leading sales, growth, strategy, marketing, and communications. He was a member of the senior leadership team and was a voting member of several senior leadership governance committees.
Mr. Jensrud was also a Principal and Office Business Leader for the Mercer Health and Benefits Government Consulting Practice where he was a member of the North America Extended Leadership team. During his time at Mercer, he led large complex client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, and advising clients on the design, funding, and administration of their Medicaid programs.
Mr. Jensrud is a recognized thought leader on the latest in publicly funded healthcare industry trends and best practices. The Atlanta consulting office won several long -term contracts increasing revenue growth by several million annually. He also led the bid and execution of a large, complex study of the Virginia Medicaid program for the Virginia Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission. His team presented the study to the Virginia legislature, which led to comprehensive legislative action, resulting in millions of dollars of savings annually for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
As a Vice President for Anthem Amerigroup, Mr. Jensrud oversaw the finance, underwriting and forecasting activities in support of business growth, and the overall direction of strategy related to new business development for all public program products. He also provided strategy related to future earnings, company growth, evaluation of new markets and products, and successful implementations that added several billion dollars in annual company revenue. He oversaw analytical work related to current business operations, pharmacy strategy, emerging trends, business development, and support of mergers and acquisition activities.
In addition, Mr. Jensrud has 10 years of experience working for several large hospitals, integrated health systems, and health plans in medical economics, reporting and analytics, cost accounting, operations, risk contracting, and reimbursement strategies. He also has extensive experience with development of enterprise data warehouses, clinical data reporting, and provider network development for value-based and quality incentive contracting.
