About Christopher
Christopher Ruell is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting, working in the Corporate Finance segment at the London office. Christopher has 18 years of restructuring experience in both the public and private sectors advising creditors, investors and boards. He has performed advisory services for numerous industries, including automotive, aviation, healthcare manufacturing, oil and gas, retail and telecommunications.
Christopher’s experience includes crisis management and stabilisation, strategic operational and financial assessments, stakeholder options analysis, financial restructuring and stakeholder management. He has been involved in a number of highly complex restructuring assignments across a broad range of industries and geographies. Examples of his engagements include a multi-billion dollar global asset rental business, a £300m IT managed services business, a £200m global oil and gas services business, a €1.7bn Irish conglomerate and a £200m global oil and gas asset rental business.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Christopher was a restructuring director at Ernst and Young, where he undertook a variety of restructuring assignments. During this time, he also completed a one year secondment to Barclays Bank’s turnaround team in London. Before that he worked at Arthur Andersen.
Christopher holds a B.Sc. with honours in accounting and financial management from Loughborough University. He is also a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
