Dan Hunter is a Senior Managing Director and serves as Head of Financial Services for the Americas in the firm’s Strategic Communications division.
Dan is a respected communications leader in the financial services industry, recognized for his innovative approaches to crisis management and high-profile litigation, as well as his handling of Congressional and Federal government investigations and regulatory matters. Additionally, Dan’s known for his successful thought leadership campaigns and C-suite positioning across both traditional and social media.
Dan has a deep-rooted knowledge of the corporate and stakeholder nexus gained from his decades of experience. He joined FTI from Deutsche Bank, where he was Head of Corporate Communications for the Americas and the Global Investment Bank, leading the bank through a challenging reputational turnaround.
Dan spent almost a decade at Barclays in London, UK, where he led external communications for investment and corporate banking, wealth management and consumer banking, including leading communications for the acquisition and integration of Lehman Brothers in New York at the height of the global financial crisis.
Additionally, Dan led communications and marketing for Nomura’s asset manager and investment bank across EMEA and was Managing Director at another New York communications consultancy, advising global banks, private equity, hedge funds, asset managers, wealth management and professional services firms on crisis communications and reputation management.
