David White specializes in working with finance executives across the Americas, Asia and Europe and is an expert in finance transformation and developing and implementing strategies and plans to increase profitability and cash flow, reduce costs and improve business performance. Mr. White has more than 30 years of experience and his industry expertise includes technology, media, telecom, retail and consumer products, healthcare and aviation.
Mr. White has considerable experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. For Chief Financial Officers, he is a specialist in strategy and business transformation, planning and performance reporting, global business services/centers of excellence/outsourcing, enterprise cost optimization, enterprise risk management and technology/digital/smart automation.
Mr. White has served as an advisor to numerous companies experiencing financial and operational changes, including leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts which encompassed strategy definition, business process transformation, systems implementation, organization redesign and change management program. He has led improvement programs that have resulted in successful enterprise resource planning selections and implementation efforts, redesigned and optimized business processes and establishment of a multi-function shared services centers.
Mr. White has deep experience assessing strategic alternatives regarding merger, acquisition and divestiture opportunities, including partner identification, transaction support and post-merger integration activities. He has developed investment grade business plans, forecasted financial statements, valuations and offering memorandums used to raise capital with private equity, lenders and other investors.
Mr. White has led efforts to refine business planning and performance reporting capabilities, which have resulted in an integrated and comprehensive business plan and leadership scorecard. The leadership scorecard linked measures to strategic goals, established targets and aligned executive team on key metrics. He has led numerous global business services feasibility, design and implementation efforts. Projects included business services vision, business case, detailed process definition, organization design, system requirements, service level agreements, site selection, transition planning and implementation. Efforts have included captive and business process outsource provider solutions.
Mr. White has led multiple finance transformation efforts to streamline finance and accounting processes, redefine organization structure, leverage enabling technologies and deploy change management programs and reengineered finance processes including planning, budgeting, reporting, financial statement close process, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. White was a member of The Hackett Group’s leadership team and Finance Practice responsible for the West region, where he led all firm go-to-market efforts, with a primary focus on the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Procurement Officer roles and supporting executive teams. He also served as a Partner in Ernst & Young’s Finance Performance Improvement practice, and a Leadership Partner at Oliver Wyman specializing in Corporate Finance. He has built global practices servicing multi-national clients across Asia as an expatriate living in Beijing and Dubai.
