Hernando Torres

Hernando Torres is a Senior Director at FTI Consulting and is a member of the Construction Solutions practice based in Bogotá, Colombia. Mr. Torres specializes in Construction Management and execution of civil engineering and construction projects. He has led management teams for a diverse number of multidisciplinary large-scale infrastructure construction projects in Colombia.

Mr. Torres has extensive experience in the management of large and complex engineering projects through all its cycles; project control; planning and programming; change management; handling and analysis of claims and analysis of work delays; application of risk management and analysis; and quality management systems.

For the last 20 years, Mr. Torres has worked with multinational construction companies in a variety of multidisciplinary projects with leadership and executor capacity, project management, project development management, engineering management, and construction management, such as the construction of the Impala Port Barrancabermeja, which is the largest river port in Colombia, the construction of the Prodeco´s Port, and Drummond Railroad among others.

During Mr. Torres' professional career, he worked in almost every Colombian river and has extensive experience in dredging, shoreline protection, pile piling, foundations, railroads, and river works.

Mr. Torres has participated in the preparation of technical expertise road concessions in Colombia and Perú.
