James Condon

James Condon is a data strategist who leads extensive primary research projects that measure the opinion, perception and expectation of multistakeholder groups to help inform client engagement strategies and communication campaigns. James leads the FTI Consulting Strategic Communications segment’s team of research and data experts and is based in New York.

With more than a decade of experience, James has conducted research projects utilizing bespoke methodologies to understand the global opinion of client stakeholders in times of corporate change, transactions, crises, market or societal disruptions, and has helped clients effectively adapt their messaging and communications to mitigate reputational issues.

James co-founded FTI Consulting’s Resilience Barometer®, an award-winning research study which categorizes the risks and opportunities for companies across the G20. The study has been recognized by industry peers, winning PRovoke Media’s The Holmes Report SABRE award for ‘Best Original Research for PR’ and was nominated for ‘Superior Achievement in Research and Planning’ in 2019 and 2020.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, James worked for a corporate communications firm and a top 30 UK law firm and helped develop the messaging strategy for two of the principal campaigns in the 2014 and 2016 referenda in the United Kingdom.

James holds a B.A. in International Literature and Linguistics with Honors from Queen Mary, University of London. He is Market Research Society (“MRS”) trained, having been awarded a Distinction in the prestigious Market and Social Research qualification; holds a Certificate in Investor Relations (“CIR”) from the Investor Relations Society; and is PRINCE2 accredited in project management.
