About Joe
Joe Slota is responsible for providing solutions to and serving the life sciences industry. He has more than 40 years of experience creating value for clients across industries by tailoring approaches from strategy creation through the requisite tactical implementations, including innovative growth, operational efficiency, process excellence, technological enablement, change management, supply chain segmentation, control towers, and beyond.
Over the past 24 years, Mr. Slota built a strong foundation of expertise around advisory solutions, innovations, and outcomes in the Life Sciences Industry. He has assisted clients in finance and supply chain management, yielding a track record of significant success through strategic and tactical outcomes like global supply chain segmentation strategies, control tower implementations, and consent decree remediation. He delivered Enterprise value crossing the entire life sciences end to end supply chain spectrum, representing a relentless focus rooted in leveraging factually-based outcomes, experiences, and challenges.
Mr. Slota considers all aspects of his clients’ specific set of conditions, consistently leveraging historical work and findings while maintaining cultural receptivity. He has a relentless passion for developing people, improving systems, minimizing complexity, and hypothetical based outcomes to situations. In a post 9/11 request, Mr. Slota addressed risk minimization in the supply chain to the U.S. House of Representatives.
In addition, Mr. Slota was hand-selected by Stanford University and Oracle to join a small, prestigious global leadership team to create a vision for Supply Chain Management of the future, amongst many other innovative topics. Mr. Slota has been called upon by influential organizations, publications, and associations based upon his multitude of experiences and unique perspectives.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Slota spent more than 20 years as a leader in the Supply Chain Management practice for the Life Sciences industry. At the onset of his career, Mr. Slota worked in various sectors with increasing responsibilities for Mobil Oil, Johnson & Johnson, and Reckitt & Colman (Benckiser). Mr. Slota also served as Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Philips Electronics NV as an Americas Board Member.
Mr. Slota holds a B.A. degree from St. Peter’s University and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a focus on Finance and Accounting. He has a Post-Graduate degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in Supply Chain Management. Mr. Slota is an affiliate of the Food Drug Law Institute, Rutgers University Supply Chain Board and the Institute of Management Accounting.
