Lars Faeste

Lars Faeste serves as Chairman of FTI Consulting’s EMEA region, where he is focused on helping clients transform and achieve step changes in performance and trajectories. He specialises in company transformations, having supported >15 end-to-end successful transformations often generating 2-3 times their valuation over 18-36 months. Lars has worked with clients globally on four continents, including Europe, US, Asia and Africa.

Lars leads FTI Consulting’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is responsible for new market entries and extending the firm’s service offerings. He also sits on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Lars joined the firm following a 24-year career at Boston Consulting Group, Inc (“BCG”), where he led a number of successful programs, including the firm’s global Transformation practice and its businesses in Greater China, the Nordics and CIS. He also founded BCG TURN (now BCG Transform), a unit that helps CEOs deliver rapid and sustainable business performance improvements and led the firm’s Global Client Team on BCG’s ExCom.

Throughout his career, Lars has been responsible for advising on large-scale transformations, complex turnaround projects and innovative growth strategies, often in relation to mergers and acquisitions. Prior to consulting, he worked at A.P. Moller Maersk. Lars holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and an M.B.A. from the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
