Melinda Bowman is a Managing Director in the Forensic and Litigation Consulting team of FTI Consulting and is based in Melbourne, Australia. Melinda is a forensic accountant with 20 years’ experience specialising in loss and damage quantification and financial investigations.

Melinda has assisted numerous litigating parties by assessing the merits of their damages claims, assisting with the drafting of pleadings, providing advice on the discovery phase, preparing independent expert reports and critiquing the opposing party’s damages claim. Melinda has experience across a broad range of industry sectors providing advice in the role of independent expert witness, joint expert and consulting expert.

Melinda focuses on loss and damage assessments arising from contract disputes, tortious acts, ACL breaches, compulsory land acquisitions, insurance claims, post-acquisition disputes and business interruption.

Melinda also has expertise in performing a variety of financial investigations such as independent payroll reviews, solvency assessments and allegations of fraud.
