Stephanie Ellis is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications practice at FTI Consulting based in London. Stephanie has twelve years of financial and corporate communications experience, advising both global and UK business in New York and London.
Stephanie specialises in developing and executing multi-stakeholder communications programs related to mergers and acquisitions, in- and out-of-court restructurings and litigation and provides a broad range of issues planning and crisis management services. She has also extensive experience advising international private equity firms and their portfolio companies on strategic communications planning, media relations, corporate positioning and issues management, as well as transaction support.
Previously, Stephanie worked at Ruder Finn Public Relations in both their Corporate Advisory and Healthcare practices as well as Robinson Lerer and Montgomery (now Finsbury), providing corporate communications and crisis management counsel to a range of international clients.
M&A: Stephanie has provided transaction support to a wide range of corporate clients, advising on SABIC’s acquisition of a stake in Swiss based chemicals company, Clariant, the proposed acquisition of Fidessa by ION Trading, Neptune Energy on its acquisition of ENGIE’s EPI business, British American Tobacco’s acquisition of Reynolds American and Monsanto on its proposed acquisition of Syngenta and the subsequent proposed acquisition by Bayer, among others including Perrigo Company, Shire Pharmaceuticals, FMC Corporation, DISH Network, and Zebra Technologies.
Restructuring: She has also advised on the Chapter 11 restructurings of American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC), Crumbs Bake Shop, and Arcapita, Inc., as well as the restructuring of the UK operations of Aviator.
