About Valeria
Valeria Fagone brings a wealth of experience to FTI Consulting’s Public Affairs practice, having worked in European Union (“EU”) public affairs in Brussels for more than 20 years. Valeria works for medical device, diagnostics, digital health, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, as well as trade associations and other organisations. She leads and advises on a variety of projects, including pan-European coalition building and advocacy in the areas of oncology and rare and respiratory diseases. Valeria also leads the collaboration with the FTI Consulting Brussels sustainability team, working on issues at the intersection of health and the environment.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Valeria worked for Medtronic, the leading global medical device company, where she was Senior Director of Government Affairs EMEA, leading EU policy advocacy and coordinating the function across the region. Before that, she worked for Covidien as Government Affairs Europe Director, where she was part of the regional leadership team.
Valeria previously held the position of Public Affairs Europe Director at the multinational company IGT, where she established and managed their EU Liaison Office for five years. She started her career with a traineeship in the European Commission and worked for 10 years as a consultant in public affairs and strategic communications on many legislative and policy dossiers for several companies, trade associations, government organisations and non-governmental organizations (“NGOs”).
Valeria is Italian and speaks Italian, English and French, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
