Harris Leitner

Harris Leitner is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting in the Health Solutions segment and is based in New York. Mr. Leitner has over 18 years of professional experience in healthcare administration at large academic health systems and in professional services.

Mr. Leitner specializes in service delivery, ambulatory operations, technology enablement and revenue cycle management. Mr. Leitner focuses on applying innovative techniques to optimize and improve business processes. Additionally, Mr. Leitner is passionate about creating efficiencies that will yield greater throughput and quality and increase revenue.

Mr. Leitner’s experience and expertise combines operational and technology strategy with practical, hands-on experience to drive efficient change across healthcare organizations. In addition to these skills, he brings a unique depth of knowledge to consulting from his 15 years of experience working at large academic medical centers in New York where he focused on: Service Line Management/Faculty Practice Operations /Access Management; Third Party Reimbursement/AR Management/Denial Management; Budgeting and Forecasting/Compensation models; Capital Projects and Funding; Benchmarking and Data Analytics; and EMR/Technology Implementation.

In transitioning to professional services, Mr. Leitner now leverages his successful career to help clients tackle and resolve some of the most challenging issues facing the healthcare industry today. Teams under Mr. Leitner's direction have successfully implemented electronic medical records and other technologies, redesigned governance structures, policies and corresponding operational workflows, as well as transformed organizations’ revenue cycle operations. His guiding principle is to always create efficiencies for the benefit of the patient and the healthcare organization’s employees, allowing the clinical visit to focus on the patient care.

Mr. Leitner is excited about the future of healthcare and assisting organizations to use data and analytics to better understand and improve the health of the patients they serve.

Mr. Leitner earned a B.A. degree in Biology from Yeshiva University and an M.P.A. from Baruch College.
