About Jay Anne
Jay Anne Tuazon has more than 15 years of accounting and audit experience in the real estate industry and advises public and private real estate companies on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
Ms. Tuazon has a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting and finance and leads teams that provide outsourced accounting and financial reporting services for both public and privately held real estate funds and real estate finance companies. These companies report under Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the investment company guide, International Financial Reporting Standards (FV) and/or the income tax basis of accounting.
Ms. Tuazon has prepared and reviewed monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 3-14s and pro forma financial statements, including Registration Statements with the SEC. Ms. Tuazon worked on the initial public offerings (IPOs) of a suburban office real estate company and a residential REIT, including the technical accounting aspects of the formation transactions and the accounting, financial reporting and SEC reporting impacts of those transactions.
Ms. Tuazon also managed the accounting system implementations for several real estate companies. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Tuazon was a Vice President and Corporate Controller at SL Green Realty Corp. where she was responsible for corporate consolidations. Prior to this position, Ms. Tuazon performed accounting research and had financial and SEC reporting responsibilities at the Company.
Ms. Tuazon was also an Audit Manager in the New York office of BDO USA, LLP, where she led audit engagements of public and private real estate, real estate finance and hospitality companies.
