About Jenn
Jennifer Dougherty offers first-hand expertise and insights following a diverse career at top-tier companies in the financial industry. As a member of the Activism and M&A practice, Jenn is responsible for aligning client needs with FTI Consulting’s expertise in the increasingly dynamic relationship among shareholders, company managements, and boards of directors. Within the Private Capital Advisory practice, Jenn advocates for clients, connecting them with industry and strategic experts and a broad set of investment, research, and other critical services and insights from FTI Consulting’s best-in-class teams.
Jenn has over 30 years’ experience at top-tier firms in the financial industry. She brings first-hand experience and comprehensive perspective to FTI Consulting's clients on buy-side and sell-side research and portfolio management, public and private investing, domestic and international markets, and retail and institutional investment considerations. She has invested in technology, financials, healthcare, real estate, retail, infrastructure, and energy companies, amongst others, while also having responsibility for macroeconomic considerations and strategies. She has managed large-scale global project design and implementations, as well as managing teams through high-risk situations including natural disasters, global financial crises, and civil upheavals with clarity and compassion. Jenn has also helped firms navigate the intricacies of ESG investing, regulation shifts, and conflicts of interest while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Jenn worked at Morgan Stanley Research, serving as the Content Risk Officer and a member of the Investment Oversight Committee for EMEA. Before that, she was a member of the Research Management Team at Goldman Sachs, with responsibility for the content design and build-out of a global infrastructure system, ensuring effective and efficient distribution and use of intellectual property. Jenn managed international and emerging market funds at Scudder Stevens & Clark and served as a member of the Global Allocation Committee. Jenn started her career at Goldman Sachs as a Financial Analyst for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device coverage. She was selected to run the FA program the following year, and then assumed independent coverage of the Healthcare Information Services sector after 18 months at the firm.
Jenn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Cornell University where she was the recipient of the Marcham Scholar award, selected to participate in the Honors History Program, and was a member of the Hispanic Business Association. She previously held FINRA 7, 16, 63, 86 and 87 licenses.
