About Ken
Ken Reed is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting is based in Dallas. Mr. Reed is in the Trial Services practice in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Mr. Reed joined FTI Consulting in 2001 and has more than 20 years of litigation experience and over 17 years’ experience in the presentation of electronic evidence. Mr. Reed has worked on more than 200 engagements in his career. Mr. Reed typically spends more than 2,000 hours per year in court and war rooms supporting trials.
A former Litigation Paralegal, Mr. Reed brings his extensive litigation experience to bear in the courtroom and war room. Mr. Reed is currently the Managing Consultant in several multi-district product liability litigations and has managed courtroom technology to successful conclusions in seven nationally prominent diet drug cases, as well as dozens of other trials and hearings involving patents, mass tort pharmaceutical cases, medical malpractice, antitrust and product liability cases. During his career, Mr. Reed has worked with many law firms including Arnold & Porter; Baker & McKenzie; Bartlit Beck; King & Spalding; Latham & Watkins; Quinn Emanuel; Reed Smith; Ropes & Gray; Simpson Thacher; and Wachtell Lipton.
Mr. Reed’s notable case experience includes: Baker, et al. v. Goldman Sachs (U.S. District Court, Massachusetts); Cohen v. Perelman, (Bergen County, NJ); TiVo v. Echostar (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana); Content Guard v Apple (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana ) Tellez v. Dole Food Company (Los Angeles Superior Court, Central Civil West); McDavid v. TBS/Ted Turner/Time Warner (Fulton County Superior Court, Atlanta Georgia); Garcia v. Wyeth (U.S. District Court, New Mexico); Kilker v. GlaxoSmithKline (Paxil) (Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); Syngenta Seeds v. Monsanto, et al. (U.S. District Court, District of Delaware); Casa de Meadows/HRH Prince Jefri v. Faith Zaman (New York City State Court); Wolf v. NBC Universal (Santa Monica, California); and Alexsam v. IDT (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas, Marshall).
Mr. Reed is a published author and has given speeches and CLE seminars across the country on the applications and benefits of litigation technology, including “Using Technology as a Persuasive Litigation Tool.” Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Reed worked in broadcasting and multimedia production.
Mr. Reed studied Biology and Journalism at West Virginia University.
