Kevin Gibson is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Construction Solutions practice and has 25 years of experience in diverse construction, engineering, and scheduling matters. Mr. Gibson’s professional experience includes project and program management, project schedule development, project schedule risk assessments, forensic delay analysis, and valuation of engineering changes that impact construction. Mr. Gibson has testified to schedule delays in U.S. court.
Mr. Gibson has worked in the execution phase on several complex construction projects in North America valued in excess of $1 billion and has significant international experience working in Iceland, South America, and Canada. Previously, as a scheduling and project controls manager with Bechtel, Mr. Gibson developed solid project management skills and worked side-by-side with project and senior management teams on multiple large and complex construction projects.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Gibson worked at Ankura Consulting Group, supporting multiple projects with a focus on schedule claim assessments, progress measurement, and forensic CPM schedule delay analysis. Mr. Gibson also supported multiple projects in an advisory capacity. Advisory support included assessing reporting and schedules, physical progress measurement, and risk evaluation.
Mr. Gibson’s project experience includes: Subway extension – TBM tunneling, rail, and multiple stations (Toronto CA), overland light rail extension (Toronto CA), commercial high-rise (San Francisco), wastewater treatment plant (Corpus Christi), suspension bridge (Edmonton CA), high voltage transmission line (British Columbia CA), hydroelectric dam (Manitoba and British Columbia CA), gas processing plant (China), oil refinery (Edmonton), biomass power plant (Alabama and British Columbia CA), ammonia production plant (Arkansas), and LNG pipeline (British Columbia), LNG export facility (Providence RI).
Mr. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University.
