Lee D. Bosma

Lee Bosma is a Managing Director in the Health Solutions Valuation Services practice at FTI Consulting. Mr. Bosma’s career in healthcare spans approximately 10 years and includes valuation and financial advisory services for healthcare organizations, primarily supporting transaction planning and regulatory compliance services including compliance with Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse laws (Anti-Kickback Statute), physician self-referral regulation (the Stark Law), and IRS 501(c)(3) (private inurement/private benefit). Most recently, he has led matters involving pre- and post-transaction due diligence assessments, physician and executive compensation assessments, business enterprise valuation assessments, compensation risk analyses, fair market value (“FMV”) and commercial reasonableness assessments, expert testimony in bankruptcy litigation and expert support to counsel related to qui tam investigations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bosma provided healthcare consulting services in Navigant Consulting’s Healthcare Valuation and Financial Advisory Services practice and in EthosPartners’ Healthcare Management Group’s Valuation practice. His previous experience includes FMV analyses related to business enterprise, joint ventures, intangible assets, ancillary services, accounts receivables, physician compensation agreements, management services agreements, tangible assets, property lease rates and equipment leases for regulatory compliance purposes, as well as acquisition due diligence and post-transaction proforma development.

Mr. Bosma has a B.S. in Psychology and an M.B.A. from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, American Health Law Association and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
