Albert Leung specializes in performance improvement, large-scale transformation, merger integration and carve-outs and restructuring. He has over 20 years of experience in advisory, specifically in the digital advertising, software, media, pay TV, consumer goods, telecommunications and airlines industries.

Mr. Leung has served as an operational and financial advisor during numerous transactions including buy-side due diligence, post-merger integrations and has led a wide variety of large-scale business transformations. He has also advised numerous companies, lenders and investors in a number of due diligence transactions and financial restructurings. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Leung spent over ten years at AlixPartners in the Telecom, Media and Technology group in the Enterprise Improvement practice and the Financial Advisory Services practice.

Mr. Leung's relevant merger integration and carve-out experience includes: advising major ad tech company on buy-side due diligence throughout the pre- and post-merger phases; performed post-merger company-wide transformation capturing over $800M in synergies. He implemented an end-to-end transformation program for a global ticketing and events platform company, included SG&A spend optimization and footprint and workforce rationalization.

Mr. Leung previously served as interim financial management to a $1 Billion premium snack food company. He achieved significant financial and operational improvements by developing brand level profit & loss forecasts, cash flow forecasts and detailed financial model to improve liquidity management and budgeting process. In another engagement, he advised a global computer hardware company and board on operational synergies and prepared detailed post-merger integration plan and organization design.

Mr. Leung performed strategic, financial and organizational assessment of an enterprise software company for the special committee of the board. In addition, he prepared revenue enhancement opportunities for the SaaS division and cost savings initiatives for the legacy software division. He also redesigned and implemented new capital investment process for a leading digital media company.

In a past engagement, Mr. Leung served as operational advisor in a company-wide cost savings and revenue enhancement program for a leading enterprise security software company. He performed customer profitability, go-to-market and sales operations optimization program at a billion-dollar consumer products company. There, he delivered a new growth strategy and carve-out plan for non-core business units and detailed shared services cost analysis. He performed quality of earnings review and buy-side due diligence of a major online retail fulfillment and logistics company and delivered pro forma carve-out financial statements, detailed shared services review and stand-alone cost analysis.

Mr. Leung holds a B.S. in Finance & Operations Management from Boston College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder and a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). He is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the Turnaround Management Association.
