Other successful restructurings include a chain of 15 UK hotels; a 100-site coffee chain; a major high street retailer and a nearly £1 billion revenue international retailer with over 200 stores; and several other mid-market engagements across care homes, manufacturing, printing and casual dining.
Ali also led the Company Voluntary Arrangement planning for a UK-based casual diner with a full restructuring of the balance sheet and closure of non-performing stores, following an aggressive expansion strategy.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ali worked at a pan-European credit and special situations fund, sourcing and evaluating distressed investment opportunities. Before that, he worked at Lloyds Banking Group in their Business Support division. Before Lloyds, Ali worked at KPMG.
